The Roof Rat or black rat (Rattus rattus) is a common long-tailed rodent. Despite its name, the black rat exhibits several color forms. They eat a wide range of foods, including seeds, fruit, stems, leaves, fungi, and a variety of invertebrates and vertebrates. The Norway rat, more commonly known as the brown rat is one of the largest muroids. It is a brown or grey rodent with a body up to 10 ins long, and a similar tail length.
